Slokam-9.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Slokam :

"Api vyapakatvad-dhi-tattva prayogat,
svatah siddha-bhavad-ananya-asraya-tvat,
jagat thuccham-etat smasham tadanyat,
tadeko-vasishtah Sivah kevalo- ham."

Meaning by word :

api = also
vyapakatvat = being all pervasive;
hi = indeed;
tattva = reality;
prayogat = for the purpose;
svatah-siddha-bhavat = being Self-established, Self-existent;
ananya-asraya-tvat = Self-determinant, without dependent on anything else;
jagat = universe;
tuccham = insignificant;
etat = this;
smastam = all;
tat = that;
anyat = other;
tadekah = that one;
avasistah = remains;
Sivah = Auspicious and Pure;
kevalo- ham = alone I am.

Translation :

Being all pervasive and goal oriented,
Being dependent on its own nature,
Than depending on any out side thing,
This world is trivial as it is different from self.
So I am simply Shiva the self,
For this remains even in sleep,
After everything is taken out.

Tattvam of Slokam :

"All this universe, being other than the Self, is unreal; for the Self alone is all-inclusive, constitutes the ultimate goal, and it is self established and self dependent.
Therefore, I am that one, Auspicious and Pure, that alone remains. "

To be continued ...
